WELCOME
to the SECC Small
Group information
page. My name
is Rocky Mobley,
and I am the Small
Group coordinator
for Southeast
Community Church.
I am excited to
spend a few minutes
with you as you
investigate this
thing called “small
groups”.
What
exactly is a small
group and how
does it work?
A small group
is an intentional
gathering of 12
– 14 people
meeting in a predictable
environment, experiencing
authentic friendships
and spiritual
growth over time.
Groups may meet
on different days
and times, on
a weekly basis,
to cultivate friendships,
study God’s
word, pray and
really begin doing
life together
with others in
their group. Being
a part of a healthy
small group will
be one of the
most awesome experiences
you will ever
have.
Are there
any small group
options (age,
gender, topics,
etc)?
Yes, we have several
group options.
We have women’s
groups, men’s
groups, couple's groups, several
open-to-everyone
groups that meet
various days of
the week, a new believers group and those
that study different
Bible-related
topics (such as
How to manage
your finances,
marriage and family
studies, becoming
like Jesus and
much more).
If you are interested
in checking this
out in more detail,
it is as simple
as emailing me
at rocky@secchurch.com
or calling
at the church
office Monday
– Friday,
9:00 a.m. –
3:00 p.m. (729-8480).
We will be happy
to answer your
questions and
help you find
the group that
best fits your
needs. Around
here we know from
first-hand experience
that “life
really does happen
best in small
groups”.
