Youth Upstreet Bright Beginnings Sunday Morning Bright Beginnings Morning School Celebrating Recovery Small Groups
Here at SECC we try to create an environment that lets:
the seeker - who doesn't know anything about the bible and is just checking out Christianity
the new believer - who has made a commitment to Christ and would like to learn more, to
the convinced - who is growing in his or her walk with Jesus
feel comfortable, safe and secure. For that reason we see this experience as a guest being invited into our home. From the foyer to the living room to the kitchen, we have services, events and small groups that are welcoming and informational.
foyer
foy•er (foi' er, foi ya') n. an entry. — It's the place in your home that serves as the welcome area for guests and new friends. It's the first step, and it's often your only chance to make your guests feel comfortable enough to return. That's exactly how we've designed our entry environments at Southeast Community Church. Our Sunday morning worship services are "foyer" environments. We want our guests to come back, so we do everything with them in mind. Each area of ministry has its own foyer and these environments are where most people will experience SECC for the first time, and they serve as the perfect place to introduce newcomers to life at Southeast Community Church. So, come on in...
living room
liv•ing room (liv'ing room) n. — a room in a home, with sofas, chairs, used for social activities, entertaining guests, etc. - When guests arrive and are welcomed into your home, you invite them into the living room. Everyone finds a comfortable place to sit, and the interaction begins. At Southeast Community Church, this is where you connect with people like yourself. Smaller and more interactive than the foyer environment, these gatherings offer genuine opportunity to begin friendships...just like the living room in your home. Come into the living room and have a seat...
kitchen

kitch•en (kich'en) n. — a room or place for the preparation and cooking of food. — Webster's definition doesn't help us much, does it? But think about it. What is the most popular room in your home? Where do you end up when friends or family come over? The kitchen. This is where lasting friendships are made. And that's the kind of environment we are striving for in our small groups. Small groups are where people meet regularly for Bible study and prayer, and commit to accountability, friendship and support. They are the safe place to open your heart, share your life, and ask the tough questions.

Small group opportunities for adults include community groups, Lessons on Assurance – the new believers’ bible study, and Celebrate Recovery. For students, small group time happens on Saturday nights for middle school and high school and Sunday mornings during adult service in UpStreet and Waumba Land for fifth grade to new born. Small groups are where life change happens here at Southeast Community Church, and we want to help you get there.
